Riig is a premium waterproof hat company designed for water enthusiasts. We reimagined their omnichannel experience including their Shopify e-commerce site, email campaigns, and social media strategy to support their expanding product line, enhance brand awareness, and boost sales through product education and social proof.
A core component of the Riig redesign product storytelling was to highlight the hat’s waterproof functionality and unique micro-fit snapback closure, which offers a precision fit that no other snapback hat can.
To enhance customer retention and increase customer confidence when purchasing, we migrated Riig from Yotpo to Okendo and introduced a new referral program to grow their community.
In order to drive more traffic to the Riig site, we built a marketing landing page that gives a quick overview of what makes Riig great and why it’s the best hat for customers on the water.
We created a strategy and designs for Riig’s email automations to build awareness through storytelling, drive credibility through social proof, and increase conversion through cart abandonment emails. Post-purchase we created multiple opportunities to reengage customers through a dedicated care-guide email, review request email, and dynamic product upsells.
Knowing that most customers discover brands on social, we created a social strategy for Riig that continued the product education and social proof built on the website and in emails. This included a suite of templates under the core themes on storytelling, education, and community. This positions Riig as the leading waterproof hat brand, effectively engaging and expanding their customer base.
