Dr. Jart+ is a globally recognized skincare brand renowned for its innovation in skincare. Their brand was first regarded as one of the best selling BB creams in Sephora and later went on to get acquired by Estée Lauder. Barrel worked with Dr. Jart+ to launch the brand's first US ecommerce experience on Shopify Plus, blending skincare science, routine education, and product discovery for a high-converting DTC experience.

Knowing that their products were previously bought at Sephora, the unique challenge of the website launch was how do we bring content on the DTC site that made customers consider purchasing directly from Dr. Jart. Knowing that science is at the heart of Dr. Jart+'s product formulation, we built educational modules across the site that educated customers about how their ingredients help with every skin type and concern to encourage conversion.
One of the primary concerns for customers while choosing a skincare product is identifying the product that suits their skin type and addresses their skin concerns. We designed a robust product finder that recommends products based on skin type and their associated benefits.
To continue their brand and collection storytelling we build a custom about page to talk about the brand's history, showcase their awards, and highlight their world-wide reach. We also developed custom collection pages which promote buying products in a set to target customer's key skincare need.
