Building a Digital Flagship for Real Good Foods

Real Good Foods is a better-for-you frozen and refrigerated food brand focused on high-protein, low-carb products. In partnership with Real Good Foods and its branding agency, Magic Camp, Barrel led the redesign of their Shopify website to create a modern brand hub that connects customers to retail channels and supports long-term omnichannel growth.

Opportunity

Real Good Foods needed an ecommerce experience that better reflected its bold mission and nutritional value while making it easy for customers to discover, understand, and choose products that fit their lifestyle. The goal was to modernize the Shopify experience to balance storytelling, education, and conversion in a way that supports both retail and direct-to-consumer growth.

As part of Real Good Foods’ brand refresh, the new website brings its bold, energetic personality to life through visual storytelling and educational content that clearly communicates the brand’s mission, product benefits, and nutritional insights.

Cross-team collaboration enabled an accelerated launch ahead of key marketing initiatives, supporting Real Good Foods’ rebrand, retail growth, and goals to strengthen brand perception and drive awareness.

We developed a website strategy that positions Real Good Foods as the central brand hub, guiding customers through product discovery and to their preferred retailers to purchase.

“Where to Buy” and Instacart integrations were seamlessly embedded across product cards and PDPs to enable quick, frictionless paths to purchase in retail.

We wove ingredient transparency and product education throughout the site to help customers make informed choices, reinforcing Real Good Foods’ commitment to quality and its position as a trusted authority in the better-for-you category.

To promote product usage and inspire customers, Barrel helped Real Good Foods organize blog content around recipes, creating a clean, easy-to-navigate hub that encourages exploration and showcases everyday ways to use their products.

The redesigned digital experience gives Real Good Foods a stronger online presence that mirrors the brand’s identity and product quality.
